A graduate of McMaster University Medical School in Hamilton, Ontario, Dr. Catherine Eplett completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. With a Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, she was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Eplett is American Board certified in Ophthalmology and is a member of TOPS (Toronto Oculoplastic Society).
On active staff at the Scarborough Hospital and Courtesy staff at Centenary Hospital, Dr. Eplett is a Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto Medical School. She is a Cataract, Refractive, and Oculoplastic surgeon, and brings her Refractive Cataract Surgery skills to Herzig Eye Institute.
With her ARCT in piano, Dr. Eplett had a promising career in music before she turned her focus to her medical career. A humanitarian, Dr. Eplett performed cataract surgery on a mission in Northern Brazil as a volunteer.
She enjoys golf, scuba diving, skiing, and travel, and loves food and wine. She lives in Toronto with her husband and their four designer Birman cats.
