We are located in one of Toronto’s most elegant shopping and dining areas.

Bloor-Yorkville’s designer boutiques, antique shops, and galleries are first class. The area features many small courtyards, alleyways, and a contemporary park located in the very heart of the neighbourhood.

Hailed as the ‘Mink Mile’, Bloor-Yorkville is home to high-end designers and unique fashions from the hottest Canadian designers. The gleam of high-priced art, haute couture, and fine dining draws stars, fans, and paparazzi here during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). No visit to Toronto is complete without exploring this chic neighbourhood.

Location: Bound by Bloor Street West, Avenue Road, Davenport Road, and Yonge Street.

While there is no parking at 150 Bloor Street West, there are a number of paid parking lots in the surrounding area of the centre. There are many underground parking garages off of Cumberland Street which is located directly behind Herzig Eye Institute.

Street parking can also be found around the centre.

Navigate downtown Toronto using the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) network of subways, buses and streetcars.

For airport transportation, we recommend the Union Pearson Express (UP) or an airport Limousine service.

Our services include:

  • Cataract Surgery – This common procedure restores vision affected by cataracts, a clouding of the eye’s lens. During the procedure, the clouded lens is replaced with an artificial one called an intraocular lens (IOL). Usually done on an outpatient basis, it’s quick and relatively painless, often requiring only local anesthesia.
  • SMILE – SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) is a minimally invasive procedure for correcting myopia. It reshapes the cornea by removing a small tissue lenticule through a tiny incision, unlike LASIK, resulting in potentially quicker recovery and fewer complications.
  • PRK – Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) corrects vision issues without creating a corneal flap, suitable for those with thin corneas. It treats various visual impairments such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism effectively.
  • ICL – Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL) correct refractive errors by placing a thin lens inside the eye, working with its natural focusing system. Unlike LASIK or PRK, it doesn’t alter the cornea’s shape.
  • RLE – Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) corrects refractive errors in a similar way to a cataract procedure but is typically for individuals without significant cataracts.
  • Corneal Cross-linking – This procedure halts keratoconus progression, a condition where the cornea weakens and bulges. It can prevent further vision decline and reduce the need for invasive treatments such as corneal transplantation.
