Kim Le, MD, MPH, FRCSC

Associate Surgeon

Dr. Kim Le is a Refractive Cataract Surgeon, Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. After graduating from Cornell University with distinction, she completed her Master of Public Health with honors at Yale University. She obtained her medical doctorate at the University of Toronto, and her ophthalmology residency at McGill University. She has held numerous leadership positions, including President of the Canadian Ophthalmological Residents Society, and National Public Health Officer for the American Medical Student Association.

Dr. Le is highly regarded for her surgical skills. Prior to returning to Toronto, Dr. Le practiced in New York City where she performed thousands of successful surgeries, including cataract surgeries, micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), pterygium surgeries, retinal injections, and laser procedures. She is also a specialist in treating common eye conditions such as dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration at her clinics in midtown.

Dr. Le’s dedication to ophthalmology extends beyond Herzig Eye Institute. Her passion for global health has taken her around the world, volunteering her time and expertise for non-profit organizations such as Orbis’ flying eye hospital, Volunteer Eye Surgeons International, and Unite for Sight. Dr. Le has also made valuable contributions to ophthalmic research, including publishing on medical education in the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology and presenting on strabismus at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, for which she received an international travel grant.

With her multilingual abilities in English, Spanish, French, and Vietnamese, Dr. Le is dedicated to ensuring that all her patients receive personalized and compassionate care at Herzig Eye Institute.
