Words genuinely cant describe how Im feeling right now.Im 21 years old, and for as long as I can remember, going all the way back to kindergarten, Ive needed glasses. My vision was absolutely horrible growing up, but I never liked how I looked wearing glasses, so I rarely wore them. Looking back, I spent most of my life not being able to properly see the world around me, and I had gotten so used to it that I didnt even realize how much I was missing out on.I eventually decided to book a consultation at Herzig, and from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt extremely comfortable. From the friendliness and professionalism of the staff to the beautiful interior design, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere of the clinic, everything made me feel like I was in the right hands.I met with Dr. Modabber that same day. After thoroughly examining my eyes, he recommended SMILE as the procedure best suited for me. I came prepared with what must have been dozens of AI-generated questions, and he happily answered every single one of them with a smile on his face. Not once did he make me feel stupid, rushed, or uncomfortable for asking. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring, which meant a lot to me considering how nervous I was about having surgery on my eyes.Almost two weeks later, I had my surgery with him, and I genuinely couldnt have asked for a smoother experience. From the pre-operative preparation to the surgery itself and the post-operative care, I was guided through every step. Everything was explained clearly, and I never felt like I didnt know what was happening or what to expect.Im now on day two after my SMILE procedure, and I can confidently say that this surgery has already changed my life.My vision is already almost perfect. I can look at screens, go outside for walks with my sunglasses on, and go about my day without any pain, floaters, or anything out of the ordinary. Its honestly surreal to wake up in the morning and just be able to see.For the first time in my life, I feel like I can experience the world the way everyone else does.Its the little things that mean the most to me. I can finally watch movies and sports games with my friends and family without having to search for my glasses or, if I forgot them, spend the entire time trying to make out blurry shapes on the screen. I dont have to sit two centimetres away from my laptop just to study or get work done. I dont have to constantly squint or second-guess what Im seeing. Even driving at night, I no longer have to constantly check and recheck my mirrors because Im worried I havent seen something properly.These might sound like such ordinary things to someone whos had good vision their entire life, but to me, theyre genuinely life-changing.I spent 21 years adapting my life around not being able to see properly, and it wasnt until these past two days that I truly understood how much of my everyday life was affected by it.If youre hesitant about taking that step and trusting someone with your eyes, I genuinely cannot recommend Herzig and Dr. Modabber enough. Your eyesight is something so incredibly valuable, yet its so easy to take for granted until youve spent your entire life without being able to see clearly.To Dr. Modabber and the entire team at Herzig, thank you for giving me something Ive wanted since I was a little kid. I know its only been two days, and I still have healing to do, but I already feel like Ive been given an entirely new perspective on life.I genuinely couldnt be more grateful.
